5x STEPS TO COMBAT FACEBOOK CHANGES

Recently we talked about Facebook and how some of their latest changes will affect the way advertisers communicate with people.
Today we have 5x quick and easy solutions to help you improve your results.

STEP 1: STOP WHINING
There is no going back to what it was and Facebook are consistently changing their algorithms - all of which is out of your control. So instead of whining look for creative solutions that work for you.

STEP 2: UPGRADE YOUR SOCIAL STRATEGY
Most companies, products or brands have only one vision when it comes to social - GET MORE PEOPLE ENGAGING - but how will this work now that Facebook has taken away many of the components that made this easy and effective to do? Time to review your strategy and prepare a new plan of action, one that includes a dedicated spend in order to capture and engage with your audience.

STEP 3: START USING FACEBOOK APPS
If you haven't already, then we suggest you start looking into doing so. Facebook apps allow for amazing content to be delivered in a way that is more creative and beneficial. You can hold interactive competitions, showcase products and brands, capture user info and incentivise your community and do so across multiple devices and platforms.

STEP 4: TAKE YOUR COMMUNITY AWAY FROM FACEBOOK
Now that you have a new plan, and have started collecting user information from your community it's time to start taking people away from Facebook altogether and deliver your content direct to the user. Whether this be via a blog, a podcast, a website, an e book, a landing page or another social media platform that perhaps isn't as costly make sure you plan to do this. Here is when the value of your audience obtained from Facebook can truly be assessed and returned.

STEP 5: BUILD CONTENT OUTSIDE OF FACEBOOK
Facebook will always be a main player in the social media world, but are they the only one in the market? Are there other viable social media out there upon which you can spend similar advertising dollars that could deliver even better leads or relationships with potential buyers? Of course there are - and you should look into these options and start getting familiar with how your products and brands can start using them as well. Social sites such as...Google+ / Pinterest / Linked IN / SLIDESHARE and Twitter are most certainly great starting points. As are Instagram & Vine.
